Purchasing a Used Bass Guitar
A key factor when purchasing used or second hand, is cost. Buying a used bass is a tad easier then purchasing an electric, as the bass guitar has just a few moving parts. The only parts that move on a bass guitar are the tone and volume controls and the tuning pegs.
The great thing about buying the second hand or used bass is typically you are getting what you see. You should however test each fret, and play them on each string. Make sure that you do not hear any of them making a buzz or humming noise. Another key point when buying a bass guitar either new or used is there is a great resale market for them. Typically with a bass guitar you will make most if not all of your investment back upon resale.
